Some glimpses from the ECCE Inaugural Conference in Malpas
A group from Parkskolan was happy to attend the first planning conference for our Comenius 1 School Development project.
It was held at Bishop Heber High School in Malpas, Cheshire in November. It was very successful . We made a very fine agreement and enjoyed to be together.
Parkskolan was represented by the headteacher Åke Collin, the deputy head Raymond Grahn, the teachers Staffan Hagström, Elisabeth Kristoffersson and Hélène Strömmer and the students Angelica Edin, Sandra Nordlund, Sanna Lindquist and Daniel Westman.
The students were kindly hosted by students at Bishop Heber and the personal in beautiful Bed and Breakfast places. Special thanks to the hosts at The Dukes who also invited all the foreign delegates to a delicious dinner with local food . The activities included long alley skittles, bell ringing, carols and music by candlelight as well as a trek in Wales.
We also visited our ECCE partner Malbank School in Nantwich where we enjoyed the morning briefing with student performances and a presentation of how they teach Citizenship at Malbank. A Freeway conference was also held with students from three schools discussing their Internet magazine.
Finally the last day at Bishop Heber we signed the agreement in the presence of local governors. The key strands of the framework are decided to be School Talks, Youth Voice and Youth Talks. That will be interesting!
Of course a lot of nice pictures was taken. Here you can view some.
